My Mission
Providing leaders with the insight and strategies needed to support
autistic adults for life.
My Story
From Personal Experience to Public Advocacy
“The amazing talents and abilities that exist among the broad and extremely diverse autism spectrum are often overlooked. This is both tragic, and detrimental to society as a whole.”
– George Williams
One in 36 children are diagnosed with Autism according to the CDC. Each year, 50,000 adolescents transition into adulthood who are diagnosed with Autism. As a father to a son diagnosed with Autism, and a public speaker with a background in Psychology and Rehabilitation Counseling, I understand better than most the challenges these young men and women face as they transition to adulthood.
Before my son was born, I spoke at conferences about the impact of targeted therapies and counseling methodologies. When we received his diagnosis, that was all put on hold. I poured myself into learning as much as possible about the condition, the road ahead, and how to best support my son as he developed. I decided to homeschool him myself when he was was in the 3rd grade, to better focus on nurturing him in ways public school couldn’t. This was a blessing, as it both allowed me to help my son flourish, and gave me the time to start writing.
I wrote to help others. I wrote to empower Autistic adults. I wrote to encourage them and their families to recognize their hidden talents. I wrote to advocate for all of those people who struggled to advocate for themselves within the Autistic community.
Now I bring my 15 years of Autism advocacy back to the realm of speaking, so that I can interact directly with the practitioners and patients who are most impacted by my work.
